Pittsburgh International Lung Conference: Register Today
The Pittsburgh International Lung Conference is an educational conference held every other year to increase awareness of the medical and scientific advances being made in treating lung disease.
The 2018 Pittsburgh International Lung conference will be hosted by the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, a leader in Pulmonary Medicine, in alliance with the Respiratory Institute at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona. The title of this year’s Pitt Lung Conference is “Pulmonary Medicine: Basic Biology and Novel Therapies,” which will highlight the cutting edge developments in seven core areas of Pulmonary Medicine: Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), Lung Transplant, Interventional Pulmonary and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The invited faculty will showcase the senior thought leaders in these topics and the rising stars who will shape Pulmonary Medicine in the near future. In addition, we are pleased to welcome the Chiefs of the pulmonary divisions from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins for a special session on the challenges facing trainees in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Judith Campisi, Professor of Biogerontology at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. The 2018 Pitt Lung Conference will not only serve as a forum for cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research in Pulmonary Medicine, but will also focus the conversation on how we as a community help protect and train tomorrow’s leaders in respiratory health. Each session will be end with a panel discussion with an opportunity for questions for further interaction among participants. We look forward to your participation in the conference.
