“A Very Special Hospital”: come see my new play
It runs Aug 8-31 at 7Stages in Atlanta
Hi. For anyone who’ll be in Atlanta this month, I hope you will come see a play I wrote, called A Very Special Hospital.
It’s a comedy-drama set in an ICU. Robbie and Sarah are estranged siblings who are forced together during their father’s episode of critical illness. There, they encounter the eccentric Dr. Hobson and his enigmatic nurse Jana, who institute an increasingly bizarre care plan. As Dad’s condition deteriorates, Robbie and Sarah must cope with the stress of their father’s decline and confront the “chronic critical illness” in their family and relationships.
It’s a story about how family lifts us up while creating some of our deepest wounds, and how strongly we resist the discomfort of submission to reality and change, even when that is what we most need.
But funny.
It opens this Friday, August 8 and runs through August 31, at 7Stages Theatre in Atlanta’s Little Five Points neighborhood. I’ll be at many of the shows. I hope some of you can make it.

Wow. Congratulations! Wish had the brainpower to wade through studies like you do and create art! Please try posting even a paid version if/when you can.
Wish I could watch. Anyway this play can be posted on an online media platform in the future?
