I am baffled at this rate of success at first intubation attempt 😮

It’s eye-opening. This is by first responders in the field. Terrible conditions, variable experience levels, most in the U.S. are young, it’s often a stepping stone to other healthcare careers.

Are they paramedics or young doctors?

Paramedics, which are EMTs with more training (1200-1800 hours vs. 200 hours for EMT, per search engine AI).

I got it. They are paramedics doing their best in the scene.

In Brazil, only MDs are allowed to intubate. In pre-hosp services they are usually trained doctors.
